A gym training log, written for lifters in Vietnam.

liftmate is the name I build software under. The first product is Workout Logs — logging a set faster than the notebook in your gym bag, in Vietnamese, without taking your training data anywhere.

Workout Logs — gym training log

An Android app for writing down what you just lifted: which exercise, how much, how many sets and reps. Then watching it stack up month after month.

311

exercises, all with Vietnamese names

With step-by-step instructions and common mistakes — written from scratch, not machine translated. Search works without diacritics, the way people actually type.

3 TAPS

to log one set

The real competitor here is pen and paper. If logging on a phone is slower than writing it down, the app has already lost — so everything else gives way to that.

OFFLINE

works in a basement gym

Your log lives on your phone; no connection needed to write or review it. Only the exercise illustrations need downloading the first time.

FREE

unlimited logging

No cap on sessions, no counting exercises. Recording your own training isn't something to put behind a paywall.

Your training data stays on your device

Not a statement of intent — in this version the app simply has no path to send your training log to a server. No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync.

The app downloads, it doesn't upload

It does connect to my servers to fetch the exercise catalogue and illustrations — one direction only, carrying no account and no device identifier.

Analytics is OFF by default

Anonymous stats are a separate choice, switched off unless you turn them on. Leaving them off costs you nothing — the app is fully functional either way.

Take your data with you

Export everything to a JSON file, free, as often as you like. Wipe all data from Settings, or just uninstall.

Who builds this

liftmate is the name I publish software under. Behind it is one person: Vu Duc Duong, working in Vietnam.

Workout Logs exists because I couldn't find a training log that both spoke Vietnamese properly and didn't require an account just to take my own training history elsewhere.
